John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has touched a lot of people by his lyrics. Most of his songs have roots in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. is a Mexican-born musician and singer who fell in love with Colorado. Denver's state anthems inspired people to travel to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame stated that John Denver was by far one of the most well-known performers who embodies Colorado. In 2011 Denver was chosen as the Hall of Fame's very first inductee. Denver is the symbol of Colorado for many people across the globe. When I travel, you may meet people at the other side of the world. As an example, you might meet an individual who is from New Zealand. And when you tell them you're originally from Colorado you will get "Oh John Denver!" Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was co-written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief stint in folk groups, was Denver's debut Top 10 solo hit. Danoff composed the tune for Johnny Cash but Denver recognized the potential of the single the moment he heard it for the first time. The song was recorded by the singer just a few days later following a performance to the awe-inspiring crowd at Washington D.C.
