Aisling Cliodhnadh was born on the 16th of March, 1984, in Kildare Town, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian passed away when he was just three years old. He was a horse vet. Bea wasn't told the specifics of his passing to death until she was 13 years old. The stage name she chose was Bea in honor of her father who passed away. She also wrote a 2017 article in The Guardian on her family's suicide experience. Bea was fostered by her younger sister Sinead with Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer, as well as a former professional racer. Their family was racing and horse-related. Bea began her career as tourist guides at the Irish National Stud.
